Initially, the new Technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union TR CU (EAEU) 041/2017 “On safety of chemical products” was planned to come into force on June 2, 2021. However, due to delays in creating a unified chemical product register and incompliance with the Decision No. 19 dated March 3, 2017, it was decided to postpone the TR CU (EAEU) 041/2017 entry into force to at least November 30, 2022.
When imported to the Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Armenia), self check-in kiosks require a number of approvals, such as a TR CU Declaration of conformity, FSS notification/exemption letter and FAC (TELECOM) Declaration. On June 1st, a project of changes to the TR CU 010/2011 “On Safety of Machines and Equipment” were published. It is planned to publish the project approved by all states members of Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan) in October, 2022. Here is a brief description of the suggested updates.
According to the regulation of the Customs Union TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility”, equipment that generates electromagnetic interference must undergo an obligatory certification procedure. Depending on the type of product and the requirements of the regulations, the applicant (manufacturer, importer) should provide a certificate or declaration of conformity to export their products to EAC market.
Most of the time, in order to receive a declaration of conformity with EAC technical regulations (TR CU) for a product, an accredited EAC laboratory needs to conduct sample testing as a part of certification process. However, for some technical regulations it is possible to receive the declaration of conformity without sample testing, which helps save time and resources.
On May 3, 2021, amendments to the Federal Law dated July 22, 2008 No. 123-FZ "Technical Regulations on Fire Safety Requirements" were approved. The main changes affected the adjustments of the definitions of the requirements concerning the indicators of the fire hazard of substances and materials.
