TR CU 018/2011 “On safety of wheeled vehicles”
TR CU 018/2011 “On safety of wheeled vehicles” is a technical regulation that specifies safety requirements of vehicle components with safety requirements. Certification under this TR CU is one of the most complicated processes.
Why might this be relevant to you?
In order to import vehicle spare parts into the Customs Union, TR CU 018/2011 “On safety of wheeled vehicles” Certificate or Declaration is required. The technical regulation prescribes whether a product falls under Certificate or Declaration.
The most common document in this technical regulation is certificate. Certificate is issued for a batch and for 1, 3 and 4 years. Maximum validity is 4 years.
A request for TR CU 018/2011 should contain full name of the product, HS code and technical description with application field.
Please note that only a legal entity registered in the territory of the Customs Union can apply for EAC documents. WWG offers the Local representative service (Applicant service). Thus, the Certificate / Declaration belongs to the manufacturer, not one of the customers.
Basic documents required for EAC Certificates:
- Application – completed by us;
- Articles of incorporation of the Local representative (CU resident) – our documents if WWG is applicant;
- Letter to the Applicant authorized by the Manufacturer – completed by us and verified by the Manufacturer;
- Detailed technical description;
- Articles of all the declared products;
- Product samples;
- ISO certificate (if any)
There are special requirements for EAC certified products regarding EAC marking.
How long does it take to issue certificates?
Execution period is from 15 to 25 working days (not including time for delivery and customs clearance of samples and alignment of drafts) after manufacturer provided requested information.
