New Changes Introduced into State Registration Certificate (SRC / SGR) Procedure
Eurasian Economic Commission is currently discussing new changes that shall be introduced into the State registration certificate procedure. The discussing will take place from July 6 until August 5, 2022. After August 5, the decision of the Commission shall be published.
According to the Decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission, it is suggested to temporary simplify the procedure of issuing State registration certificates (SGR) for 180 days. The following changes are expected to be introduced:
- Procedure of issuing SRC shall be reduced to 15 days. Currently, the lead time for issuing an SGR is 30 days.
- Copies of an agreement with a testing laboratory or a letter from a testing laboratory shall no longer be applied when providing samples of products manufactured outside the Customs Union.
The changes above are aimed at facilitating the trade and import considering the current sanctions.
State registration certificate, also known as SGR, Hygienic certificate or Sanitary certificate, is a mandatory approval document for a number of product categories, including:
- Household chemicals
- Baby food and food for nursing women
- Dietary supplements
- Products for children under 3 years of age
- Paints, mastics, enamels
- Cosmetics intended for injection
- Hair dyes, permanent chemicals
Only residents of Customs Union can act as an applicant for a Hygienic certificate. If your company is registered outside the CU, you can use our Local representative service which will allow us to act as an applicant for your State registration certificate.
As soon as the SGR (SRC) is registered, it can be used on the whole Customs Union territory (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kirgizstan).
The validity of SRC is unlimited, which means that after completing the certification procedure, you will no longer need to worry about EAC compliance of certified goods.
