EAC Certification of cosmetics (TR CU 009/2011)
In order to export make-up, cosmetics, perfumes and other beauty products, it is necessary to obtain either Declaration of conformity with Technical Regulation of the Customs Union (TR CU 009/2011) “On safety of perfumery and cosmetics” or Hygienic certificate (Certificate of state registration).
The maximum validity period of Declaration TR CU 009/2011 is 5 years. The validity term of Hygienic certificate is unlimited. It means that after the first certification of goods, you should not worry about recertification.
Please note that Declaration TR CU require an Applicant that is a legal entity registered in the territory of the Customs Union. Our company offers Local Representative Service to provide foreign producers with the necessary support.
Hygienic certificate may be issued to two categories of applicants: Foreign manufacturer, or Resident of the Customs Union. According to new rules that were adopted in July, 2017, only Resident of the Customs Union may be the applicant for Hygienic certificates. This rule will come into force in 2019 but we recommend using CU resident as an applicant now.
Before EAC Declaration or Hygienic certificate is obtained, the products must be tested by an approved laboratory in the Customs Union, so samples are required.
There are special requirements for EAC certified products regarding EAC marking.
