The Discussion On The Unified Roster Of Chemicals For Customs Union Has Been Launched | EAC
On February, 18th, Eurasian Commission starts the discussion on project directed to create a unified roster of chemicals and mixtures and notification of new chemicals.
The roster will be valid for all countries members of Customs Union (Russia, Belorussia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan). It will consist of national parts which are assigned to particular certification bodies in each country of Customs Union.
The elaboration of such roster is caused by requirements of TR CU 041/2017 "On the Safety of Chemical Products". The roster will guarantee the appropriate valuation of chemicals that are to be certified in accordance with TR CU 041/2017. The document will also install the procedure of notification for new chemical products.
The roster will be divided in two parts, one part for chemicals, another one for mixtures. Each substance will be included to the roster with a special profile and individual number.
Since there is a special transit period for this project, the applicant can submit the data in order to register a chemical product in the roster without notification. To avoid the notification procedure the applicant should provide the following documents:
- a contract for the supply of a chemical substance
- packing list
- information on the presence of the chemical substance in the national register of chemical products of a state member of Customs Union
The discussion on this project will be finished by April, 1st. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive the updates on project status.
