EAC TR CU Certification with Product Test Reports for Declarations of Conformity
Most of the time, in order to receive a declaration of conformity with EAC technical regulations (TR CU) for a product, an accredited EAC laboratory needs to conduct sample testing as a part of certification process. However, for some technical regulations it is possible to receive the declaration of conformity without sample testing, which helps save time and resources.
According to the official EAC certification procedure, several supporting documents need to be provided to receive a declaration of conformity. One of these documents is a product sample test report. This document needs to be submitted along with an application for a declaration of conformity.
Meanwhile, it is well known that manufacturers test their products in accordance with various local and international standards before releasing them into a market. This means that these products have already received test reports.
For some EAC technical regulations, it is possible to use previously issued test reports in order to receive a declaration of conformity instead of conducting sample testing in an EAC laboratory.
This option is usually available for the following technical regulations:
- TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices”
- TR CU 010/2011 “On safety of machines and equipment”
- TR CU 016/2011 “On safety of devices operating on gas fuel”
- TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility”
- TR CU 032/2013 “On safety of equipment operating under excessive pressure”
- TR CU 037/2016 “RoHS”
Using test reports that manufacturer obtained before facilitates and speeds up the EAC certification process for a product.
Products that do not have test reports can also receive required EAC conformity documents in a simple manner.
If you would like to export your products to EAC market, WWG will be glad to help you obtain necessary conformity documents.
