EAC TR CU Certification of Pumps for Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan
Pumps, as well as other domestic or industrial equipment exported to EAEU countries, are subject mandatory to EAC TR CU certification. Certification should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment in EAEU countries.
Typically, pumps are subject to the TR CU 010/2011 “On safety of machines and equipment”, which also implies that safety justification for the pumps should be issued.
Depending on pump’s technical capabilities, it can also be subject to TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices” and TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means”. This applies to electric pumps and pumps powered by external power supplies with supply.
Pumps that are used for drinking water supply or used in contact with food are subject to State Registration Certificate (Sanitary Certificate or SGR).
Ex-proof pumps are also subject to TR CU 012/2011 “On safety of the equipment operating in hazardous environment”.
Pumps repair parts supplied to EAEU are exempted from mandatory certification.
To identify necessary certification procedures for a pump, the following information should be provided: Technical manual, information on application HS code. Using this information, it is possible to identity which documents need to be obtained for a pump to be exported and sold on the territory of EAEU.
