EAC TR CU 010 Certification of Jib Cranes
Jib cranes that are exported to the countries Eurasian Customs Union are subject to mandatory EAC TR CU certification of conformity. Conformity documents should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment to these countries.
Jib cranes are subject to the following EAC technical regulation:
Jib crane requires a certificate of conformity to TR CU 010/2011 “On safety of machines and equipment”.
Some jib cranes are designed to operate in specific industrial lines or systems and not as individual machines. Regardless of that, it is always recommended to obtain a separate certificate of conformity specifically for jib cranes to fulfill the requirements of the technical regulation.
Production facility site audit is required to obtain a certificate TR CU 010/2011. Usually, a certification expert from an accredited certification body travels to a production facility for 1 day to conduct an overview and to select product samples that will be sent to a laboratory for testing later on. Due to size and weight of jib cranes, testing procedure may be conducted of manufacturer’s production facility during the audit.
Some certification schemes allow to avoid conducting site audit and testing. The application of such certification schemes is not always possible and should be discussed beforehand.
Another requirement of a certificate of conformity TR CU 010/2011 is to issue a safety justification. Safety justification is a document that contains analysis of possible risks as well as technical information on measures to ensure safety of the equipment. Safety justification is a mandatory document required for all declarations and certificates that include Technical Regulation of the Customs Union 010/2011 “On safety of machinery and equipment”
It takes 10 - 20 working days to issue a certificate of conformity and a safety justification for a jib crane.
WWG can take care of a whole certification process of jib cranes.
