Difference between EAC certification for serial production and for a batch
All certificates and declarations of conformity to Technical Regulations of the Customs Union (TR CU), also known as EAC certificates/declaration, may be obtained either for serial production or for a batch.
If the document is obtained for serial production, it will be valid within 1, 3, 4 or 5 year (depending of TR CU and validity terms) for unlimited number of product. Certificate/declaration TR CU for a batch is valid for limited number of products according to the delivery contract. The validity term of such document is usually unlimited.
The terms of certification for a batch may be slightly simpler. For example, site audit is usually not required.
The main difference between these types is that in case of certification for serial production, any resident of the Customs Union may be an applicant. Thus, if manufacturer prefers to be independent from one of the customers, WWG may provide Local Representative Service. In this case, the EAC Certificate / Declaration will belong to manufacturer enabling him to sell his products to all his customers.
Certificate/declaration for a batch requires importer to be an applicant. Thus, it may be difficult if the manufacturer does not supply the product directly to the Russian customer.
Moreover, in case of certification for a batch, delivery contract and invoice are the mandatory documents that should be provided to obtain EAC certificate/declaration.
