Changes to Technical Regulation of the Customs Union “On Safety of Devices Operating on Gas Fuel” (TR CU 016/2011) | 2020
Technical regulation of the Customs Union “On Safety of Devices Operating on Gas Fuel” (TR CU 016/2011) was approved by the decision of the Customs Union Commission No. 875 of December 9, 2011 and entered into force on February 15, 2013.
On May 25, 2020 began a public discussion of the draft amendments to TR CU 016/2011. The public review of the document should be completed on July 31, 2020, and in the new edition, the regulation will enter into force only after 6 months from the date of the official publication of the decision to amend.
The changes are aimed at regulating the following provisions of the regulation and bringing them to the uniform requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU):
- Updating the procedures for assessing the conformity of gas equipment in accordance with the new standard certification and declaration schemes adopted by the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE) No. 44 of April 18, 2018;
- Harmonization of the provisions of the regulation with the Protocol on Technical Regulation in the EAEU (Appendix No. 9 to the Agreement on the EAEU of May 29, 2014);
- Clarification of certain provisions of the regulation, based on the practice of its application.
