Case study: EAC Сertificate For Gateways And Concentrators TR CU 012/2011
EAC certificate for gateways and concentrators is not that easy that may seem, but WWG has a wide experience in such cases. Here is a scheme of EAC certification for this type of equipment.
Gateway and concentrators fall under TR CU 012/2011 «Safety equipment for use in hazardous environments» (check the Update form 2019 in our blog). To get acquainted with the list of product subject to TR CU 012/2011 please see our post. It also falls under TR CU 020/2011 «Electromagnetic compatibility of technical equipment».
Gateway/concentrator requires a Certificate of conformity with TR CU 012/2011 and a Declaration TR CU 020/2011. It takes nearly 2 months to obtain both Documents. The maximum validity period is 5 years.
To obtain Certificate of conformity to Technical Regulations of Customs Union "On safety of the equipment operating in hazardous environments" (ТR СU 012/2011) site audit is required. One expert will go to the site audit for ~1-2 working days + travel days.
The expert will need translator during the site audit and it is necessary to organize meeting of the expert in the airport and take him / her to the airport after the site audit (unfortunately ex-perts do not speak foreign languages). If required WWG manager can accompany expert during site audit for additional fee, be a translator, arrange airport transfer himself and make sure everything goes smoothly. However, this is optional and not mandatory. It is up to you to decide if you need it.
Please also notice that TR CU always requires an operation manual (check the list of special requirements in our blog) and ignition risk assessment (for non-electrical equipment).
If you have any ISO certificates, ATEX or IECEx, Certificates and declarations of conformity to the EU’s Directives it will also very helpful in obtaining the Certificate and Declaration.
Here is the list of necessary documents:
- Application
- Local representative's documents (as in accordance with the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission all TR CU require a Local representative that is registered in the territory of the Customs Union. WWG offers the Local representative service to provide foreign producers with the necessary support)
- Operating documents (technical passport, operation manual or guidance in Russian)
- Technical rules and regulations on manufacturing products
- Electric scheme
- Drawing
WWG is always glad to assist you with registration of Declarations and Certificates of Conformity with every type of TR CU.
