Site Audit for Certificate TR CU 012/2011 and Certificate TR CU 032/2013 | Case Study 2019
In November 2019, WWG was requested to issue EAC certificate TR CU 012/2011 “Equipment operating in hazardous environments” and EAC certificate TR CU 032/2013 “On safety of equipment operating under excessive pressure” for valves to be exported to Russia from Italy.
Both of these technical regulations require a production site audit to be conducted in order to receive certificates of conformity. Due to the differences in the technical regulations, both site audits need to be conducted separately by different certification experts.
However, to complete the project efficiently, WWG managed to combine the site audits for two technical regulations into one.
To conduct site audit for certificate TR CU 012/2011 an accredited expert from certification body should travelled for 1 working day to the site to conduct a production analysis, select the samples for testing and collect the necessary documents.
Site audit for certificate TR CU 032/2013 typically requires 1 accredited expert from certification and 1 tester from laboratory to visit the production site for 2-3 working days to conduct a production analysis, register the procedure of sample testing and collect the necessary documents.
For this project, manager from WWG travelled to production site in Italy along with 1 expert and 1 tester from certification body accredited in TR CU 032/2013 and 1 expert from certification body accredited in TR CU 012/2011 for 2 working days.
During the two-days site audit, the experts performed necessary procedures in regards to the requirements of the technical regulations and have successfully consolidated the draft of the product nameplate. In the last day the experts concluded that the production site conforms to the EAC requirements.
At the moment, both certificates are underway and are expected to be registered in the January 2020.
