Should EAC Certificate be Reissued if Applicant Address Changes | 2020
Due to the EAC assessment conformity rules, previously, it was mandatory to reissue EAC certificates whenever applicant address would change. This led to additional expenses and time consumption.
Federal Accreditation Service (Rosaccreditation) conducted a meeting on the application of the rules of uniform schemes for assessment of conformity of goods were officially published On January 16, 2020. The results relate to the subject of reissuing the certificate when changing the address of the applicant.
The discussion started due to requests from participants in foreign economic activity and application of the rules of the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE) No. 44 “On exemplary conformity assessment schemes” dated April 18, 2018.
After the examination of the legal framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the participants of the meeting concluded that there is no need to reissue the certificate if the applicant’s address is changed.
The conclusion is recommended for consideration for the FCS (Federal Customs Service).
The meeting was also attended by delegates from the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Customs Service and other interested departments.
