RusAccreditation has joined the Pacific Accreditation Organization
On April 16, 2018, the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) officially announced the inclusion of the Russian Federal Accreditation Service (RusAccreditation) among its members. The relevant information is available on the PAC website. The official statement was made following the positive results of the PAC members' vote in October 2017 and the completion of a number of technical procedures. After accession of RusAccreditation, the number of PAC members increased to 34.
PAC unites accreditation bodies from 27 countries in Asia and the Pacific, including China, India, Iran, Japan, Singapore, the United States. In addition to Rusacreditation, the international organization includes two more representatives of the CIS countries - the National Accreditation Center (Kazakhstan) and the Kyrgyz Center for Accreditation (Kyrgyzstan).
The main objective of the PAC is to ensure representation of the interests of the Asian and the Pacific countries’ economies in the field of certification bodies’ accreditation and to resolve the challenges facing APEC, WTO and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
