Products that should be marked in Russia in 2019
Marking of pharmaceuticals and fur products in Russia has already been introduced. From July 1, 2019 new groups of products should be marked as well:
- Pharmaceuticals for the Nosologies program. A pilot project on medicine marking has been running since 2017. July 1, 2019 began the mandatory marking of medicines for the “high-cost nosology” program.
- Tobacco products. Mandatory tobacco marking started on March 1, 2019. Until July 1, participants were registered in the marking system, and from July 1, all manufactured or imported cigarettes should be labeled.
- Perfumery products. The perfume marking experiment will also begin on July, 1 2019.
- Shoes. About 2,000 companies are already participating in the shoe marking project; more than 70 million codes have been issued. Shoes marking regulation will be implemented smoothly to reduce the burden on market participants, considering the peculiarities of the footwear turnover.
“Marking is a modern and convenient tool that protects responsible entrepreneurs from distorted competition with illegal market participants, creates comfortable conditions for business development, removes unnecessary regulatory and administrative barriers for market representatives who are ready to work openly,” said Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
