Kazakhstan and Russia strengthen cooperation in the field of technology, metrology and assessment of conformity
In the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Heads of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) and Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation), and the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a working meeting.
Strategic priorities in developing cooperation on technical regulation and standardization, metrology, and accreditation in the field of conformity assessment were discussed. The main attention was paid to interaction in the field of quality improvement and product competitiveness.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the improvement of the activities of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification, taking into account the experience of key international organizations for standardization (ISO, IEC, CEN).
Head of the RusAccreditation, reported on key aspects of bilateral cooperation in the field of accreditation at the level of national authorities in the International Laboratory Accreditation Organization (ILAC) and the Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Organization (APLAC). Russia and Kazakhstan are the official participants of the Mutual Recognition Arrangements of ILAC MRA and APLAC MRA.
As a result of the meeting, a high level of cooperation between the two countries was noted, as well as the need to consolidate efforts within the framework of the CIS and EEU, including using the best international practices.
