Exemption letter for export to the Customs Union
Exemption letter (or Refusal letter) is a document issued by an official authority which confirms that exported product is not subject to mandatory certification (EAC, GOST, Fire Safety certification etc.) to pass customs clearance smoothly.
For example, the spare parts for industrial machinery do not required mandatory certification. Thus, in order to avoid any question on the customs, the manufacturer obtain exemption letter.
The lead time of exemption letter is 2-10 working days.
The validity period is unlimited.
The list of necessary documents required to obtain exemption letter is as follows:
- Application;
- Product description.
Please be advised that separate Exemption letter is required for export to each country of the Customs Union (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan).
