Eurasian Economic Committee (EEC) and VDMA extend cooperation
About 10 projects for creation of innovative vehicles in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) were discussed by the Member (Minister) of the EEC, Sergei Sidorsky, and the Chairman of the Board of VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, eng. Mechanical Engineering Industry Association) Thilo Brodtmann in Frankfurt am Main on 24 November 2017.
"Interaction with VDMA is an important step on the way to stimulating the development of production of industrial products in the countries of the Eurasian Union, as well as the inclusion of German producers in the Eurasian cooperative chains," the EEC minister said.
The meeting participants agreed that creation of high-tech export-oriented products is a top priority for the development of industrial complexes both in the EEC and on the European Union.
German companies investigated the proposed sites for localization of their products in the countries of the Union within the terms of the Memorandum of Cooperation in the agricultural machinery industry signed between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the VDMA in 2017.
The parties also agreed on further joint work in the field of technical regulation and harmonization of industrial production standards.
"The European Union has been and remains the largest trading partner for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, and the markets of the Eurasian Union countries are the most important markets for machinery and equipment of the German machine manufacturers".
