EAC TR CU 004, TR CU 020, TR CU 037 for CCTV Surveillance and Security Cameras
CCTV surveillance cameras or security cameras that are exported to EAEU countries, are subject to mandatory EAC TR CU compliance. EAC certificate and (or) declaration should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment to EAEU countries.
Cameras are subject to:
- TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices”
- TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means”
- TR CU 037/2016 “RoHS”
Cameras designed for non-domestic use require two EAC declarations to confirm the compliance. First, Declaration TR CU 004/2011 + 020/2011, where 2 technical regulations are included. Second, a Declaration TR CU 037/2016. In some cases, TR CU 037/2016 may be included in an EAC declaration TR CU 004/2011 + 020/2011, which means that there will be no need to obtain a separate EAC declaration TR CU 037/2016.
It usually takes 5-15 working days to obtain the EAC declarations for non-domestic cameras.
Cameras designed for domestic use require an EAC certificate and an EAC declaration to confirm the EAC compliance. First, a certificate TR CU 004/2011 + 020/2011. Second, a declaration TR CU 037/2016. As well as for EAC declaration, sometimes TR CU 037/2016 can be included in an EAC certificate TR CU 004/2011 + 020/2011, which means that there will be no need to obtain a separate EAC declaration TR CU 037/2016.
Production facility site audit is required to obtain an EAC certificate TR CU 004/2011 + TR CU 020/2011. Usually, a certification expert from an accredited certification travels to a production facility for 1 day to conduct an overview and to select product samples that will be sent to a laboratory for testing later on.
It takes 15-20 working days to receive the certificate after testing and production facility audit are conducted for domestic cameras.
