EAC TR CU 004, TR CU 010, TR CU 020 for Fans for Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan
Industrial and domestic fans exported to EAEU countries, are subject to mandatory EAC TR CU compliance. EAC Certificate and (or) Declaration should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment to EAEU countries.
Industrial fans are subject to:
- TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices”
- TR CU 010/2011 “On safety of machines and equipment”
- TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means”
Industrial fans require one EAC declaration to confirm the compliance. Declaration TR CU 004/2011 + 010/2011 + 020/2011, where 3 technical regulation are included.
Safety Justification for a fan should be obtained, to fulfill the requirements of TR CU 010/2011. Safety Justification is a document containing analysis of possible risks as well as technical information on measures of ensuring safety of the equipment. According to Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, a Safety Justification is a mandatory document required for Declaration of conformity with Technical Regulation of the Customs Union “On safety of machinery and equipment” 010/2011.
It usually takes 5-15 working days to obtain the EAC declarations and a Safety Justification.
Domestic fans are subject to:
- TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices”
- TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means”
- TR CU 037/2016 “RoHS”
Domestic fans require an EAC certificate and an EAC declaration to confirm the compliance. First, a Certificate TR CU 004/2011 + 020/2011. Second, a Declaration TR CU 037/2016. In some cases, TR CU 037/2016 can be included in an EAC certificate TR CU 004/2011 + 020/2011, which means that there will be no need to obtain a separate EAC declaration TR CU 037/2016.
Production site audit is required to obtain an EAC certificate TR CU 004/2011 + TR CU 020/2011. Typically, a certification expert from an accredited certification body travels to a production facility for 1 day to conduct an overview and to select product samples that will be sent to a laboratory for testing later on.
It takes 15-20 working days to receive the certificate after testing and production facility audit are conducted.
Ex-proof fans are subject to TR CU 012/2011 “On safety of equipment operating in hazardous environments” instead of TR CU 004/2011.
