EAC TR CU 004/2011, TR CU 020/2011 for Material Testing Machines
Material testing machines that are exported to the countries Eurasian Customs Union, as industrial equipment, are subject to mandatory EAC TR CU certification of conformity. Conformity documents should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment in these countries.
Material testing machines are utilized on production facilities to conduct various types of tests on raw materials that will be used to produce equipment and parts.
Typically, testing machines are subject to the following EAC technical regulations:
- TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices”
- TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means”
Testing machines require a single declaration of conformity to TR CU 004/2011 and TR CU 020/2011, where both technical regulations are included.
To obtain a TR CU declaration of conformity, an applicant should provide equipment’s manual in Russian language and signed local representative contract with the manufacturer of the equipment. Sample testing in Russian laboratory may or may not be required depending on the certification scheme.
It takes 5-10 working days to issue a declaration of conformity for a testing machine.
Maximum validity of EAC TR CU declarations issued for serial release is 5 years. Declarations can be also issued for a single batch.
Applicant for declaration for serial release can be only a company that is registered on the territory of Eurasian Customs Union. Applicant for declaration for batch can be only an actual importer of the equipment.
WWG can provide local representative service and take care of a whole certification process of material testing machines.
