EAC SGR (State Registration Certificate) for Glues and Sealants
Glues and Sealants exported and sold to countries of Eurasian Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) are subject to mandatory EAC certification. To make sure that glues and sealants pass customs clearance without issues, State Registration Certificate for these products should be issued.
State Registration Certificate (also known as SGR or Hygienic or Sanitary certificate) is a document that confirms the compliance with standards in the field of hygiene and sanitary-epidemiological requirements. The certificate is issued for indefinite term and is accepted equally by all countries of Eurasian Customs Union.
The following documents should be provided to issue an SGR:
- Product composition
- MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
- TDS (Technical Data Sheet) or instructions on application
- Product sample (may or may not be required)
All the mentioned documents should be provided in Russian language.
It takes 2 – 3 months to issue an SGR.
Only a company registered on the territory of the Customs Union can apply for SGR. WWG provides service of a local representative to apply for SGR for foreign manufacturers who don’t have their offices in the Customs Union.
Other certificates are not mandatory for glues and sealants and may be issued on a voluntary basis depending on the application of the product. This includes, voluntary Fire Safety Certificate or voluntary GOST R. These documents are usually issued for project bidding to demonstrate product’s advantages in terms of conformity to other standards.
WWG can help you with a complete certification process of glues and sealants.
