Accreditation Services of Russia and the UK signed a Memorandum of Understanding
General Director of the National Accreditation Institute of Federal Accreditation Service (Rusaccreditation) Olga Nikitina and General Director of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) Paul Stennett signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The leaders of the organizations agreed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of accreditation in accordance with national legislation. The parties intend to develop accreditation system according to internationally recognized principles, create conditions for removing technical barriers for trade and cooperate with international, regional and national accreditation bodies. It will help to widen cooperation between Russian and UK market.
In accordance with the signed document, organizations can participate in the accreditation process and confirm the competence of accredited conformity assessment bodies, as well as in supporting interlaboratory comparisons and qualification testing. The parties also agreed to cooperate in the field of training and professional development of the personnel, by exchanging of specialists and information on accreditation systems.
