Digital labeling in the EAEU was discussed in Kazakhstan
Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held the forum “Digital marking in the EAEU as the basis of a transparent environment for business, nation and consumers”. Participants discussed establishment of a common information field on digital labeling of goods, as well as sharing of experience in digital sphere between EAEU manufacturers.
Alexey Besprozvannykh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, said that aim is to ensure that only legal products with labeling are sold in Russia and the Customs Union (TR CU).
Establishment and development of a product labeling system with means of identification is the most important area of cooperation between Russia and the EAEU.
Alexey Besprozvannykh noted that Kazakhstan and Belarus are already quite active in digital sphere. He appealed to all member states of the Customs Union to accelerate joint work on creation of a common digital space and fair trade within the Eurasian Economic Union.
