The EEC continues improving the system of accreditation of the EAEU
At the meeting of authorized bodies in the field of accreditation of the EAEU member states, the main attention was paid to the discussion of the new version of the Procedure for Including Conformity Assessment Bodies in the Unified Register of the EAEU.
Valery Koreshkov (The Minister for Technical Management of EEC) noted that the issue of trust in the results of the activities of accredited organizations is one of the most important conditions for the development of a single market for goods and services within the Union. And for this it is necessary to increase the responsibility of authorized organizations.
So Vyacheslav Burmistrov (Deputy Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of EEC) suggested such questions for discussion as improving the mechanisms of the formation of the register, the preparation of comprehensive information about the bodies for assessing compliance, and so on.
Generally the new version of the project will be formed by July 2017. The Commission proposed compulsory insurance of civil liability of bodies and their participation in the processes of standardization and technical regulation.
