Russian laboratories confirm compliance with GLP
GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) is an international quality system that establishes the principles of good laboratory practice intended for use in non-clinical trials of objects contained in drugs, pesticides, cosmetic products, veterinary drugs, food and feed additives, as well as industrial chemicals. Test drugs can be both synthetic in nature and of biogenic origin.
As of March 30, 2018, 11 Russian laboratories (centers) approved their compliance with the principles of good laboratory practice.
Moreover, Russian delegation led by the head of the Federal Service for Accreditation (Rusaccreditation), Alexei Khersontsev, took part in the 32nd meeting of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Working Group on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
The Russian delegation discussed with representatives of the OECD the development of the GLP system in the Russian Federation, scheduled for 2018-2019.
The Eurasian Economic Union, in general, and the Russian Federation, in particular, are striving to harmonize the regulations with European requirements in order to facilitate standardization procedures. WWG follows the news in this area and will keep informing you.
