Russian Conformity Mark Logo to be Changed from “PCT” to “CTP”
Russian conformity mark “PCT” is to be replaced with a “CTP” mark. The change of the logo mark was enforced on 21 of June 2021 by Russian Federal Law № 460-ФЗ adopted on 22 of December 2020.
“PCT” mark is used for products to be released into Russian market have successfully completed the certification procedure in accordance with Russian national technical regulations (GOST R).
The new law also implies that “CTP” mark is to be used for products to be released into Russian market that are subject to national mandatory certification and for products that are subject to national technical regulations that are not yet active.
However, even though the logo had been changed, the official procedure of new marking placement has not yet been published and is currently under development. Therefore, the products are to be marked with the “CTP” logo the same way as they were marked with an old “PCT” logo until the official order is published.
The mark is to be placed by a manufacturer or an authorized representative on product, label, packaging or documentation before the release into the Russian market to show that a product completed certification process and conforms with Russian quality standards.
WWG will continue monitoring the regulations on this matter to keep you updated.
