RusAccreditation has become a full member of the APLAC MRA
Russian Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation) officially joined the Mutual Recognition Arrangement of the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC MRA). The agreement was signed in Bangkok on June 21, 2017. It will provide the mutual recognition of accreditation by signatories. APLAC’s participants are accreditation bodies from such countries as China, USA, Canada, India, Iran, Australia and Mexico.
"Each country has its own accreditation rules and requirements for laboratories and certification bodies that issue proof documents for products. In order to relate these requirements between each other, there are international organizations for accreditation. Membership in these organizations and joining to the accepted arrangements guarantees recognition of accreditation results of Russian laboratories abroad. This is the first big step towards removing technical barriers to trade," - explained the head of RusAccreditation Alexey Khersontsev.
Practically, such recognition will help international trade participants to ensure favorable conditions for the promotion of their goods to foreign markets.
