Modern system of technical regulations helps Eurasian business to be more competitive
Deputy Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Comission, Vyacheslav Burmistrov stated that standardization and conformity assessment will increase the export potential of Russian industries. The Customs Union producers are now supported by technical regulations, where standards and norms are being developed for products from the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) should meet most stringent international requirements to be present in export markets. The best world practices and development trends of various industries will allow to minimize entry barriers in the markets of third countries and facilitate competition with foreign goods.
The conference speakers also discussed the supervision over compliance with the requirements of technical regulations. Participants of the event shared their experience in the practical use of standardization tools and conformity assessment to enhance the export potential of Russian industry.
