How to avoid customs clearance of samples
Following the recent changes in EAC certification process, product samples for testing are obligatory for most technical regulations. We want to inform you on how to avoid customs clearance of samples, and therefore to cut down expenses for samples delivery.
In proforma invoice you should indicate that these are “samples”. Then you need to specify data on samples you are sending, as a special letter from a laboratory to customs will be issued. This letter helps to simplify a long process of customs clearance.
If you send samples with a total value less than 170 Euro, and a weight less than 31 kilos, you avoid customs clearance. When the value and weight are higher, you have to go through customs clearance.
Samples have to be sent first to WWG. We as recipients have to pay customs duties and fees. After customs process the exact calculation of all costs is made. Then we send samples to the laboratory for testing.
Working with WWG, you choose confidence in high quality.
