EAC TR CU and FAC for Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA) Systems
Public Address and General Alarm systems (also known as PAGA systems) that are exported to Russia and other countries of Eurasian Customs Union are subject to mandatory EAC certification.
Due to the functional capabilities of PAGA systems, they are subject to EAC TR CU regulations and also to national telecom (FAC) regulation of the country they are supplied to.
PAGA systems are subject to two EAC technical regulations:
- TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low voltage devices”
- TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means”
An EAC declaration TR CU 004 + TR CU 020 should be issued to confirm the compliance of a system to EAC regulations. It takes from 5 to 15 working days to issue the declaration TR CU.
Additionally, PAGA systems are subject to national telecom standards. PAGA systems are used in technological networks that may have access to common commutation networks, therefore they should comply with national telecommunication standards. To export the system to Russia, a Russian telecom declaration should be issued. It takes around 45 days to issue Russian telecom declaration.
Each EAEU country has its own telecommunication standards. Therefore, depending on the country the system is supplied to, it should have a relevant telecom certificate or a declaration.
After both documents are obtained, the equipment can be supplied to and used in the designated country.
WWG can help you obtain necessary documents for PAGA systems.
