EAC TR CU 032 and GOST Certification for Pipes
Pipes that are exported to EAEU countries, are subject to mandatory EAC TR CU compliance. EAC certificate and (or) declaration should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment to EAEU countries.
Requirements for pipes differ depending on the indented use and technical characteristics.
Pipes that are designed for use in pipelines may be subject to:
Depending on technical characteristics pipes may or may not be subject to TR CU 032. In order to assess the requirements of the technical regulation to pipes, it is necessary to consider the following parameters: HS code, pipe type, nominal diameter, maximum working pressure, working temperature, working medium (liquid, gas), working medium group (1 or 2). Based on the assessment, pipes may be subject to Certificate TR CU 032, Declaration TR CU 032 or may be exempted and in this case can receive an Exemption Decision from TR CU 032.
It takes 20-30 working days to obtain a Certificate TR CU; 10 working days for Declaration TR CU; 5 working days for Exemption Decision.
Depending on the required documents, sample testing and/or production facility audit may be required.
Pipes that are not designed for use in pipelines are likely to be exempted from mandatory EAC TR CU certification. Therefore, the manufacturers of these pipes typically obtain voluntary GOST certificates that confirm the quality of the pipes.
It takes 10 working days to issue voluntary GOST R certificate.
