EAC TR CU 020/2011 EMC, FSS Notification and FAC Russia for a Wireless Gateway
A while ago WWG conducted certification work for the company that supplied a Wireless Gateway to Russia. This is a gateway that is used to connect various equipment (for example, professional coffee makers) to the Internet.
Such equipment requires a number of different approvals for the Russian market (TR CU, FSS and FAC).
Product: Wireless Gateway (CM-Gateway)
Requested approvals for Russia:
- Declaration of conformity with TR CU 020/2011 "Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means" – the document is valid in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia
Lead time: 10 working days
Validity period: 5 years maximum
- FSS Notification – the document is valid in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia
Lead time: 15 working days*
* Lead time for FSS is up to 15 working days after we receive all required information and documents from manufacturer. In practice it takes about a month to issue FSS Notification since one of the documents required is apostilled and notarized power of attorney (POA) from the manufacturer to the Local representative (WWG or other company) certifying that the Local representative may submit documents to FSS to issue Notification for certain equipment. From our experience it takes at least 2 weeks manufacturer to issue and provide us with such POA.
Validity period: 5 years
- FAC declaration (also known as Telecom declaration, Declaration of conformity in the communication system of Russia) – the document is valid only in Russia. For other Customs Union countries a separate document for communications system should be obtained.
Lead time: 45 days
Validity period: 5 years
