EAC TR CU 010/2011 Certification of Air Hoists
Air hoists (also known as pneumatic hoists) that are exported to the countries Eurasian Customs Union are subject to mandatory EAC TR CU certification of conformity. Conformity documents should be obtained prior to exporting or selling the equipment to these countries.
Air hoists use air instead of electricity for generating lifting power, therefore in EAC certification they are classified as machinery equipment.
Air hoists are subject to the following EAC technical regulation:
Air hoists requires a single declaration of conformity to TR CU 010/2011 “On safety of machines and equipment”.
To obtain a TR CU declaration of conformity, an applicant should provide equipment’s manual in Russian language and signed local representative contract with the manufacturer of the equipment. Sample testing in Russian laboratory may or may not be required depending on the certification scheme.
Another requirement of a declaration of conformity TR CU 010/2011 is to issue a safety justification. Safety justification is a document that contains analysis of possible risks as well as technical information on measures to ensure safety of the equipment. Safety justification is a mandatory document required for all declarations and certificates that include Technical Regulation of the Customs Union 010/2011 “On safety of machinery and equipment”
It takes 10 work days to issue a declaration of conformity and a safety justification for an air hoist.
