Changes in Russian Telecom (FAC) Certification | 2021
On November 20 2020, Russian authorities have signed an order to disband Russian Federal Communication Agency. One of the activities performed by the agency was the process of registration of Russian Telecom (FAC) declarations and certificates.
Russian Federal Communication Agency was a part of Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. All the procedures and activities that were previously an obligation of the agency will now be carried out by the ministry. In particular, the registration of Russian Telecom (FAC) declarations and certificates will now be conducted by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.
As of today, the process of disbandment of Russian Federal Communication Agency is ongoing and not complete. Therefore, the process of registration of Russian Telecom (FAC) documents has not yet been established within the ministry and is currently on hold. At the moment, Russian Telecom (FAC) declarations and certificates can’t be registered.
Process of Registration of Telecom (FAC) declarations and certificates is expected to start over July 1st 2021.
Currently, WWG can help with preparation of necessary applications and documents for registration of Telecom (FAC) documents. The submission of the documents will be possible once the registration process is fully established in the ministry. Additionally, it is possible to issue a letter on behalf of a certification body stating that an application for registration of Telecom (FAC) declaration/certificate has been accepted and is in process.
WWG will keep you updated on this subject.
