Types of equipment and required documents
ATEX-approved equipment: flowmeters, control valves, anti-surge valves, sensors, alarms, dust collectors, vent filtering systems, silencers - CU TR 012/2013, “On safety of the equipment operating in hazardous environments”;
PED-approved equipment: flowmeters, valves, pipeline elements, pig launchers - CU TR 032/2013 “On safety of equipment operating under excessive pressure”;
Fire alarms, fire-extinguishing systems – fire-safety certificate;
Alarms, control panels, other control equipment - Telecom Declaration, CU TR 004/2011 “Low-voltage” + 020/2011 “EMC”;
ATEX is not valid in Russia, however, the marking system is almost the same. Any ATEX-compliant product should be certified according to CU TR 012/2011 “On safety of the equipment operating in hazardous environment”. Technical passports, test reports, user’s manuals. All should be elaborated in accordance with CU standards and translated into Russian.
Additionally, due to the fact that HazLocations are regulated nationally, products might also require Industrial Safety Expertise or refusal letters from RosTechNadzor and other government entities.
Pressure Equipment (pipeline elements, pig launchers, flowmeters, valves) = CU TR 032/2013 “On safety of equipment operating under excessive pressure”. Site audit, GOST technical passports, stress calculations, destructive test reports, safety justifications, all should be elaborated in accordance with CU standards and translated into Russian.
