Electrical products

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Regulation of the Customs Union the quality of all electrical products should be confirmed by the following types of certificates:

  • TR CU «On safety of low-voltage equipment» (ТR СU 004/2011)

  • TR CU «Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means» (ТR СU 020/2011)

Depending on the type and models it might be required to obtain one or both certificates. Our experts analyze technical description of the products and determine which type of TR CU certificate or declaration of conformity is necessary to obtain. Mainly, HS code and technical specifications of the product are sufficient for the analysis.

TR CU «On safety of low-voltage equipment» (ТR СU 004/2011) refers to electric products meant to be used at nominal voltage of 50 up to 1000 V alternate current and of 75 up to 1500 V direct current. This document can be issued for up to 1, 3, 5 years or for a batch.

This TR CU covers the following products:

  • Cables, wires and cords

  • Lighting equipment

  • Home electronics

  • PC and office appliances, video & audio equipment etc.

TR CU «Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means» (ТR СU 020/2011) refers to electric products that may cause electromagnetic interference and/or operation quality of which depends on exposure to external electromagnetic disturbances apart from technologies with passive electromagnetic compatibility or used by manufacturers of other technical resources.
